Climb With Team Amplitude to Raise Money for ROMP

August 31, 2022
0

For the third straight year, Amplitude is sponsoring a team for the annual Climbing for ROMP fundraiser. We finished in third place back in 2020, the first year that we sponsored a team. Last year the competition stiffened, so even though we increased our fundraising haul we still slipped to 6th place.

Third time’s the charm, right? Our team page is right here, and there are two ways you can help. The first is to mark your calendar for October 1 and/or October 9, and plan on moving in solidarity with ROMP’s elite climbing team as they attempt to reach the summit of Cotopaxi. “Moving in solidarity” can mean whatever you want it to—you can walk, run, hike, bike, wheel, paddle, or do whatever you’d find fun and relaxing. A couple years ago we hiked up a Colorado mountain for a 360-degree view of the Rockies. Last year we were less ambitious and less fortunate with the weather, so we just walked around the lake near or house. Whatever activity you choose, see if you can line up a few supporters to back your effort with a contribution to ROMP (and be sure to put it in Team Amplitude’s column!).

If you can’t commit to logging any mileage, you can still help with a donation to help ROMP reach its goal. You’ll be helping another amputee achieve mobility, which is the main thing. And if you can help Team Amplitude ascend in the standings, so much the better.

We’ll be talking up the fundraiser on social media between now and October. Thanks for supporting a great cause!
