Earlier this year we wrote about five amputees who’ve amassed huge followings on YouTube. They include Crew9t, who’s been sharing videos for nearly a decade now; Stump Kitchen, a cheerful Canadian with congenital limb difference and tasty vegan and gluten-free recipes; AmputeeOT, famous for her DIY Lego prosthesis; Footless Jo, an outdoorsy Coloradan with high spirits and deep thoughts; and Kristie Sita, a dancer, model, and mom to a one-year-old dog named Toto.

About: Neo (pronounced NAY-oh) was born with congenital limb difference in Botswana and had both legs amputated at age five. She went to college in Canada, got married to an American, and now lives in Tempe, Arizona. Neo and her husband are raising three-year-old twins and a five-month-old baby (all boys).
In her own words: “Disability is not only physical. Sometimes people are just not confident with the way they look. And the society that we live in has created that misconception that people have to look a certain way. I have dealt with people looking at me with an evil eye because of how different I look. Some people were created differently for a purpose, and we should never have a negative thought about someone just because of how they look on the outside. I’m hoping that people can try not to look at me as someone who doesn’t have legs. Just look at me as a woman, as a mother, as a normal person.”
