Forging Mettle is a nonprofit dedicated to helping amputees acquire the prosthetic devices and hardware they need to reach their potential. We partner with prosthetic clinics to provide recipients with a fully paid journey to independence and self-confidence.

IAADP is the premier disability rights advocacy organization for persons partnered with assistance dogs. We accomplish this mission in many ways, including public education and outreach, policy advocacy, information and resource sharing, and promotion of minimum training standards. IAADP does not certify, train, or provide assistance dogs, nor certify trainers or handlers to train assistance dogs.

Amputee Resource Directory: Category Icons
All entries in the Amputee Community Resource Directory are assigned to a primary category, represented by the corresponding icon. Here are the types of resources for amputees that each icon represents:

Some organizations offer multiple types of resources for amputees and are assigned to multiple categories. For example, an organization that provides outdoor recreation programs for disabled veterans will appear if you sort by “Adaptive Sports Programs” and if you sort by “Military Veterans Programs.”
