Össur Launches Contest for Adults With Lower-limb Loss

May 10, 2016
0

Össur, Reykjavik, Iceland, has launched an online contest that encourages adults with lower-limb loss to share their stories via photo or video. The #MyWinningMoment contest is open through May 31; the winner will be announced in June.

“We launched this inspiring campaign to celebrate peoples’ everyday victories, whether that means running a marathon or catching up with a runaway toddler,” said Jón Sigurðsson, the company’s president and CEO. “#MyWinningMoment is intended to showcase individuals’ proudest achievements as they themselves define them.”

Contest entrants have a chance to win a four-day, three-night trip for two people to Reykjavik, including hotel, airfare, ground transportation, and more. Entries will be judged based on story, originality, proper prosthetic use, composition, and subject. There is no cost to submit entries. To qualify, contestants must be 18 years of age or older with lower-limb loss, and able to travel before the end of the year.

Contest submissions are being continually refreshed on the #MyWinningMoment website, and the company is also showcasing the submissions by publishing them on its social media channels, @OssurCorp on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
