The Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF) is accepting applications for its annual Access for Athletes grants until December 4 at 5 p.m. PT. Applicants are able to apply in one of three categories: coaching/training fees, such as gym membership and coaching fees; competition expenses, such as entry fees, flights, and lodging for an event; or equipment. Grant awards will be announced April 1, 2016.

The grants, intended to remove financial impediments to participation in sports, provide funding for equipment such as sports wheelchairs, handcycles, monoskis, and sports prostheses, as well as resources for training and competitions. Eligibility requirements include a physical disability and financial need.
