Registration Now Open for UCO Endeavor Games

Registration is open for the 18th Annual University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) Endeavor Games, an opportunity for athletes with physical disabilities to participate in various sporting events on a competitive level. The event will be held June 8-11 on UCO’s campus.

The UCO Endeavor Games is the nation’s largest multisport, multidisability event. The 2017 games include ten sports—archery, air rifle shooting, cycling, powerlifting, sitting volleyball, swimming, table tennis, track and field, wheelchair basketball, and wheelchair softball. Additionally, since its first year in 2000, the event has provided training clinics for aspiring athletes.

The games will open with a day of sports clinics and a welcome party for athletes, coaches, and families at the UCO Wellness Center. Competition begins with the 20K cycling event at 9 a.m., Friday, June 9, at Pops in Arcadia (660 W. Highway 66) and continues through Sunday.

Competitions will be held at six sites across UCO and Edmond, and admission is free and open to the public.

Registration closes May 29.

Volunteers are needed for a variety of positions. Each shift will last no more than four hours, and each volunteer will receive a T-shirt.
