OPAF held First Stride and First Things First Trainings and Clinics in Park Ridge, Illinois, on October 7 and in Overland Park, Kansas, on October 22. The events were made possible through grant funding from the Hanger Charitable Foundation and hosted by local Hanger Clinics.

Physical, occupational, and rehabilitation therapists and O&P professionals attended the morning educational sessions that covered outcome measures, K-levels, and prosthetic componentry. Therapists were also given an introduction to falls and recovery. With a focus on fall recovery, the afternoon sessions included the patient population for evaluation, and balance, core strength, and stability education.
