Richmond

Jack Richmond, CPOA, CFo, has been named president and CEO of the Amputee Coalition. He has been serving as interim president and CEO since August.

Richmond has a history of philanthropic work with a special focus on organizations that serve people affected by limb loss and limb difference. He has been involved with the Amputee Coalition for 23 years, having also served as board chairman, as a board member, and as a participant on several committees. He has also served as a board member and president of the Orthotic and Prosthetic Activities Foundation, the Barr Foundation, and the United Amputee Services Association (UASA). In these roles, he worked to provide peer support, educate, and improve access to care and technology that improves outcomes for people with limb loss and limb difference.

His most recent position was as director of sales for Fillauer Companies, Chattanooga, Tennessee, where he was responsible for all sales functions in the United States and spent time delivering educational seminars and training.

“Jack Richmond is dedicated to the mission of empowering people through support, education, and advocacy, and his role will encompass the strategic leadership of all aspects of the Coalition’s work,” said Dan Berschinski, Amputee Coalition board chairman. “His unique combination of passion for the community, business acumen, years of experience with the Amputee Coalition, and nonprofit expertise are a great benefit to the staff, our amazing volunteers, and the community that we work with.”

“I am honored to have been selected to lead the Amputee Coalition.” said Richmond. “As a person with limb loss, it is more than a job to me-and I look forward to leading the Amputee Coalition as we reach out and empower more people than ever before.”

Richmond will transition to his new position in the coming weeks.
