Össur Announces Second Photo/Video Contest

July 17, 2016
0

Jon Sigurdsson, president and CEO of Össur, Reykjavik, Iceland, announced that, due to the overwhelmingly positive response to its #MyWinningMoment photo/video campaign, the company has launched a second round of the contest. As before, people with lower-limb loss are invited to share their stories via photographs or videos on the www.mywinningmoment.com website. In addition, eligibility has been expanded to include entries from children, as long as they are submitted by the child’s parent or legal guardian. The contest is open through August 31, and the winner will be announced in mid-September.

The grand prize for round two of #MyWinningMoment is a four-day, three-night, all-expense-paid trip for two people to attend the 2016 San Diego Triathlon Challenge (SDTC), which will take place in La Jolla, California, on October 23. The SDTC is hosted by the Challenged Athletes Foundation.

All entries will be judged based on story, originality, proper prosthetic use, composition, and subject. To qualify, contestants must be adults or children with lower limb loss, and able to travel to the SDTC in October. There is no cost for submissions, although individuals are asked to limit their submissions to a maximum of five entries per person. Individuals who submitted entries for the original contest are asked to resubmit their images and videos for consideration.

Entries are being continually refreshed on the #MyWinningMoment website, and the company is showcasing the contest submissions via its social media channels, @OssurCorp on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
