UMich Seeking Volunteers for Upper-Limb Prosthetics Survey

Researchers at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, are continuing to seek volunteers to take an online survey relating to upper-limb prosthetics technology. The survey was first announced in April, and will be open at least through October, according to graduate student Susannah Engdahl, who is working on the survey.

The research team is seeking to determine which features are most valuable to users and what risks users are willing to accept to try new technologies. They said an improved understanding of these issues will help researchers in designing future upper-limb prostheses. Eligibility criteria for participants to take the survey are that they must be 18 years of age or older, and have an upper-limb amputation beyond finger level. Participants do not have to use a prosthesis currently.
Completing the survey is voluntary and will take about 15 minutes. Participants will receive a gift card for completing the survey. To access the survey, click here https://umich.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_3DTnv98hZjIfsRD
