Moise Brutus, a triple amputee collegiate cyclist, was surprised with a pair of custom Flex-RunTM prosthetic running feet on August 15 from Össur and the nonprofit Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF).

Brutus lost both legs and his left arm following a near-fatal motorcycle accident in 2010. The Orlando, Florida, resident began using a stationary bicycle as part of his post-accident rehab and performed so well that he was offered a full scholarship to Marian University, Indianapolis, where he is joining the nation’s number 1-ranked National Association of Intercollegiate Athletes (NAIA) Division 1 cycling team and will face able-bodied competitors from across the U.S. In the future, Brutus also hopes to qualify for the U.S. Paralympic Team and compete in cycling at the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
