Kinetic Prosthetics Hosts First Dance Clinic

Kinetic Prosthetics, West Chester, Pennsylvania, recently hosted an OPAF First Dance Clinic in recognition of Limb Loss Awareness Month in April. Individuals with amputations, therapists, clinicians, and others gathered at the West Chester YMCA to enjoy social dance lessons.

Dance instructors included Becky Ciccone and Connor Moffit from Elegance in Motion Dance Studio. Participants tried Argentine tango, merengue, swing, and nightclub slow. Social partner dance works well for those with limb loss because it’s slow and partners help with balance.

This is the fourth First Clinic Kinetic has sponsored following a series of First Climb Clinics in 2018.
