The 2020 Summer Paralympics will be held in Tokyo, August 25-September 6.
Get ready to watch elite athletes with disabilities compete in the following 22 Paralympic sports: archery, athletics, badminton, boccia, canoe, cycling, equestrian, football 5-a-side, goalball, judo, powerlifting, rowing, shooting, sitting volleyball, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, triathlon, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair fencing, wheelchair rugby, and wheelchair tennis.
The anticipation for this year’s Games is higher than ever, and the demand for tickets has already broken the record.
“The Paralympic brand has the potential to be one of the most transformational and powerful on earth, impacting and improving the lives of the world’s one billion persons with disabilities,” said Craig Spence, the International Paralympic Committee’s chief marketing and communications officer. “To achieve this, it is important that more people are exposed to and engage with the Paralympic Movement, understand its purpose, and recognize its transformational impact in changing the world for the better.”
