The U.S. Department of Labor has announced that this year’s official National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) theme will be “America’s Workforce: Empowering All.”
Observed each October, NDEAM is a nationwide campaign that celebrates the contributions of workers with disabilities throughout American history and emphasizes the importance of ensuring that all Americans have access to services to enable them to work. Although the campaign is led at the national level by the department’s Office of Disability Employment Policy, many observances are held across the nation every year.
