Getting Them Back in the Game

GROUP PROVIDES ADAPTED DEVICES TO AMPUTEES

Warfighter Engaged, a 501(c)(3) all-volunteer organization, seeks to improve the lives of severely injured soldiers and veterans through custom adapted devices, such as video game controllers, RC vehicle controllers, recreational items, prosthetic enhancements, hygiene items, and other solutions that provide greater independence.

Video game controller modifications range from relocated buttons to tabletop rigs. The organization also helps amputees cope with daily living activities and develops prosthetic adapters to help users get the most out of their prostheses.

The group provides services at various military hospitals, individuals’ homes, and other locations as needed.

Because Warfighter Engaged is supported through self-funding and donations, all items are provided to amputees at no cost.

While the organization mainly serves soldiers and veterans, it has also completed projects for civilians, with plans to assist more as it grows.
