Workforce Development Program – Amputee Coalition
The Workforce Development Program is designed to assist participants (youth ages 15-17, adults, and veterans) within the limb loss and limb difference community with career exploration, transitioning back into the workforce, or starting their journey into the workforce. Where can you turn when you have questions about limb loss? The National Limb Loss Resource Center, administered by the Amputee Coalition, provides comprehensive information and resources free of charge. All information is reviewed by the Coalition’s medical/scientific advisory committee of experts in the field of limb loss, so you can count on the accuracy of the information.

Partnership on Inclusive Apprenticeship
PIA collaborates with employers and apprenticeship intermediaries to design inclusive apprenticeship programs that meet employer talent needs and enable people with disabilities to gain credentials and skills to succeed in growing industries. We collaborate with employers, apprenticeship intermediaries, and people with disabilities to make apprenticeship programs more inclusive. We support apprenticeship intermediaries in recruiting people with disabilities and employers who are interested in offering inclusive apprenticeships.

The federal Achieving a Better Life Experience (ABLE) Act authorized states to establish tax-advantaged savings programs so individuals with disabilities can save and invest money without jeopardizing eligibility for public benefits. Ticket to Work
The Ticket to Work and Self Sufficiency (Ticket) Program is a federally funded employment program designed to support amputees and people with disabilities who receive Social Security Disability Insurance and/or Supplemental Security Income benefits based on disability.
