University Offers Acting Workshop to Train Patient Models

Fairfield University’s Marion Peckham Egan School of Nursing and Health Studies is launching a three-day method acting program to train patient models. The goal is to provide healthcare students at the Connecticut school the opportunity to engage with standardized human patients in addition to high-tech/high-fidelity simulators. The certificate program will be held January 12-January 14.

Participants will be certified in exchange for ten unpaid hours served in the role of a standardized patient in the school’s new simulation center. Afterward, they will have the opportunity to earn $15 per hour.
