DSUSA Receives $700,000 From AIG Winter Summit

Disabled Sports USA (DSUSA) announced that the American International Group (AIG) 2016 Winter Summit, held March 15-18 at Stowe Mountain Resort, Vermont, raised $700,000 for DSUSA’s Warfighter Sports and Empower Youth Sports programs. The summit celebrated its 25th anniversary and marked AIG’s ten-year anniversary as the sponsor, in which time AIG has raised more than $4 million for DSUSA.

Warfighter Sports offers sports rehabilitation for severely wounded warriors in military hospitals and communities across the United States. Empower Youth Sports provides youth with disabilities the opportunity to experience adaptive sports.

“The AIG Winter Summit provides a unique, two-fold experience; we receive elite-level coaching and have the opportunity to train alongside youth with disabilities,” said U.S. Army Warrant Officer (Ret.) Anthony Radetic. “The warriors…hope to inspire the youth in achieving their dreams.”
