Amputee Coalition to Host Limb-Loss Prevention Webinar

In honor of Diabetes Awareness Month, the Amputee Coalition and Organogenesis, Canton, Massachusetts, will host an educational webinar for veterans, on November 23 from 1:30-2:30 p.m. ET, to discuss preventing limb loss among veterans who have diabetes. During the webinar, Jeffrey Robbins, DPM, from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), will discuss why people living with diabetes are at risk for limb loss, as well as the steps a person can take to stop a diabetes-related foot ulcer (DFU) from leading to an amputation. Robbins will also give an overview of the VA’s system of care for limb-loss prevention and what a person at risk for limb loss can expect in the VA system.
