Shriners Joins Mayo Clinic Care Network

Mayo Clinic, headquartered in Rochester, Minnesota, and Shriners Hospitals for Children, headquartered in Tampa, Florida, announced that Shriners has become a member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network, a national network of organizations committed to serving patients and their families through physician collaboration. This non-ownership relationship will allow Shriners to offer providers and patients access to additional expertise from Mayo Clinic, consult with Mayo Clinic on operational and business processes, and access an extensive library of patient education materials and physician and scientist grand rounds conferences.

“With Mayo Clinic’s similar mission of providing the best care to every patient through integrated clinical practice, education, and research, a relationship will give Shriners Hospitals the opportunity to further transform children’s lives,” said Dale W. Stauss, chairman of the board of directors for Shriners.

“We’re so pleased to welcome Shriners Hospitals for Children into the network,” said David Hayes, MD, medical director, Mayo Clinic Care Network. “We have a relationship that dates back to our founders, and we’ve been proud to work with Shriners Hospitals on behalf of patients. Through the network, we’ll be able to work even more closely….”
