Former Paralympic Coach Receives Distinguished Alumni Award

Retired Paralympic Nordic ski coach Jon Kreamelmeyer received the Distinguished Alumni Award from his alma mater Dakota Wesleyan University, Mitchell, South Dakota. It was awarded last week during the university’s annual Legacy Banquet.

Kreamelmeyer served first as an assistant coach in 1995 before he was hired as head coach in 1999. He transitioned to the position of cross-country development coach in 2009, and retired two years later. He continues to serve as a technical classifier for the International Paralympic Committee.
Earlier this year Kreamelmeyer was inducted into the Visa Paralympic Hall of Fame for his work coaching Paralympic skiers.
