Meet Amputee Jobs Guru John Robinson

Our month-long series of interviews on with amputee entrepreneurs kicked off last night on Take Back Tuesdays, hosted by Melissa DeChellis and The Liner Wand. The first installment featured Socket Socks founder Joan MacDonald, and she shared a special buy-one-get-one code for Socket Socks merch. If you missed the show, no worries; it’s still available online. The show is split into two parts (@#$!@&! technical difficulties), with the opening half at this link and the conclusion here.

Next Tuesday’s guest is John Robinson, the CEO of Our Ability and the mastermind behind Jobs Ability, the accessible employment portal that’s been lauded as LinkedIn for people with disabilities. Robinson, who once served on a White House committee to promote inclusive employment, consults nationally with businesses and public-sector employers who want to find strong job candidates with disabilities, a vastly underutilized talent pool. He’s also a highly accomplished adaptive hand-cyclist and a leading promoter of Erie Canal heritage and conservation.

The lineup for the remainder of the month on Take Back Tuesdays:

* November 16: Damian Kevitt, founder of Streets Are for Everyone (SAFE)
* November 23: Erica Cole, founder of No Limbits Jeans
* November 30: Jerris Madison, founder and publisher of Obvious Magazine
