2024 Outlook: The PTS4 classification didn’t race in the Tokyo Games, so Elmlinger had to compete in the more difficult PTS5 field. Given that context, her 7th-place finish was a triumph. She came back to finish 2nd at the 2022 Worlds and then won all six of her 2023 races, including a dominant showing in the World Championships, where she beat the field by more than three minutes. The Paris Games include a separate PTS4 event, and Elmlinger hasn’t missed a podium in her own classification in more than five years.
