2024 Outlook: Leeper last competed in the Paralympics 12 years ago, but he’s hardly been absent from competition. He missed the 2016 Games due to a banned-substance suspension and spent the Tokyo cycle battling (unsuccessfully) for the chance to compete in the Olympics against nondisabled runners. Now 34 years old, Leeper remains a world-class talent, good enough to take silver in the 400m at last summer’s World Championships. He also posted one of the five fastest times in the 100m worldwide during 2023.
