O&P Edge For the Win

For the sixth consecutive year, Amplitude’s sister publication scores a TABBIE Award.

Congratulations to our colleagues and friends at the O&P Edge, the industry-leading monthly that’s published under the same roof as Amplitude. For the sixth straight year, O&P Edge received a prestigious TABBIE Award, bestowed annually by Trade Association Business Publications International (TABPI).

The O&P Edge earned recognition in the Best Single Issue category for the July 2019 edition. Themed “Spotlight on the Patient,” the issue included articles on patient privacy in the age of social media; how prosthetists should (and shouldn’t) use humor during interactions with patients; emerging treatments for phantom limb pain and residual limb pain; and bilateral upper-limb amputee Henry Barnaby III, a peer mentor and advocate.

“We are thrilled to get recognition from outside the prosthetics and orthotics community,” says Andrea Spridgen, O&P Edge‘s editor in chief. “It’s not only an honor for us, but it helps raise awareness of the limb-loss community and people with mobility challenges.”

The TABBIEs draw thousands of entrants from English-speaking countries on four continents. Competing publications cover nearly every industry you can think of, from construction and automotive to travel, food service, health care, education, you name. Kudos to the O&P Edge for bringing attention to the people and organizations that serve amputees.
