Jack Briggs

The Backstory:
Jack Briggs was born without his arm below the elbow. His brother inspired him to start running when he was eleven years old. He continued with the sport, running for the Colorado Mesa University track and field team. In 2015, Briggs made his debut at the Parapan American Games in Canada. He has competed in the World Championships since 2015 and in 2017 he finished ninth in the 200m. In 2019, he made it to the semifinals in the 100m event.

Away from the track:
He graduated from Colorado Mesa University in 2020 with a marketing degree. While he has maintained focus on his education, he enjoys playing golf, video games, and hanging out with his friends.

In their own words:
“If you ain’t first, you are last.”
